Afan Forest Park
Afan Forest Park
The Afan Valley is quite simply, a place of breath taking natural beauty, that has evolved into a mecca for outdoor activity. Feel free to unwind wandering through the secluded forest paths or spend an afternoon with the family cycling along the disused railway lines. Looking for something more challenging? If so, attempt one of our five world class mountain bike trials.
Bikers say that it’s the intensity of the downhill trails that make this place so ‘crazy man’. Hikers claim it’s the demanding uphill climbs. But both agree that Afan Forest Park is one of those locations where you can disconnect with life and reconnect with nature. And the benefits are muddy legs, aching feet and big smiles.
Look out for the two Visitor Centres, a Kanji Woodland Garden, an Outdoor Amphitheatre and the South Wales Miners’ Museum.
