Neath Canal

The area is of great natural beauty, indulging visitors with splendid scenery and numerous waterfalls. Home to the Neath and Tenant Canals, the relaxing and charming atmosphere attracts visitors during all seasons.

There are many different ways to explore the beautiful landscape of the Vale. You may choose to walk along the idyllic canal towpaths, cycle through the tree line cycle routes, enjoy the passing views upon the ‘Thomas Dadford’ boat trip or from the air within a glider. The Vale of Neath is truly a unique place to visit, providing a rural escape from busy towns and cities.

Known as the ‘Waterfall Country’, the abundance of inspiring and delightful waterfalls within such a small area cannot be found anywhere else in Wales.  Providing an inspiring backdrop to industrial ruins, the National Trust Aberdulais Falls is a local beauty spot and is home to Neath Port Talbot's Tourist Information Centre.
