The Ironstone

The Dulais Valley has a rich and varied history, influenced by the Romans, Celtic Saints, Monks, farmers and colliers. The Dulais Valley Heritage Trail comprises of 4 village trails, where you can explore the fascinating history of Crynant, Seven sisters, Onllwyn and Banwen.

Highlights include Gelli Galed Farmhouse, a ruined 17th Century building with wonderful panoramic views of the Valley and Khartoum Tip (pictured above), an area of natural beauty which is popular with walkers.
