Neath Abbey
Neath Abbey was founded in 1130 by Richard de Granville and was
used by Savigniac monks from Western Normandy. By 1730 much of the
Abbey was being used for Copper smelting as industry started to
impose on South Wales.
Today, Neath Abbey is a representation of its early days and is
a very peaceful and historical site to visit. Located near the
Tennant Canal, one can only imagine the significance of the area
during its industrial hay day.
